Unsafe hacks requires explicit user confirmation for executing them.
No documentation or support will be provided for using unsafe hacks, if you want to know how to use them, you must read the source code.

Note that the fact that you can use a file on a NFS server does NOT mean
that you can use this code for distributed shared memory -- it won't
work. In general ANY TIME two different client machines try to modify
the same file on a NFS server, all bets are off and everything will
break. NFS is an abbreviation for `Not a File System.'

Vestigial trigonometry functions

There’s probably a good chance that you’ve used the three most commonly studied trig functions:

Sine, Cosine, and Tangent.

Etymologically, the word Sine is derived from the ancient Sanskrit word for chord, and is used to represent the ratio of the opposite side to the hypotenuse in a right angle triangle. The Cosine is the ratio of the adjacent to the hypotenuse, and the Tangent is the ratio of the opposite side to the adjacent.

The Sine and Cosine functions are closely related; they are similar, simply being phase translated 90° (π/2 radians).

In addition to the three common trig functions, you might have also been taught about their reciprocals:

Secant, Cosecant, and Cotangent.

Sine is opposite over hypotenuse, and Cosecant is hypotenuse over opposite.

Cosine is adjacent over hypotenuse, and Secant is hypotenuse over adjacent.

Tangent is opposite over adjacent, and Cotangent is adjacent over opposite.

Have you heard of these?

There are, however, whole families of additional trig functions you might never have heard about. These include:

Versine, Vercosine, Coversine, Covercosine, Exsecant, Excosecant, Haversince, Havercosine, Hacoversine, Hacovercosine.

Note that this is a log-log scale, not linear. If we tried to plot the comparisons on a linear scale, we’d run out of space very quickly. We have performance results of the test that produced these results, plus others of throughput testing.

Vulkan descriptor sets -- like calling convention / function signatures from an alternate universe where for each function call, putting data on the stack/registers is super expensive, and you want to reuse that work wherever possible
